How to Record Videos and Audio in Zoom: A Quick and Easy Guide

Are you looking to record your videos and audio during Zoom meetings? You've come to the right place! In this quick guide, we'll show you how to effortlessly record your Zoom sessions and capture high-quality videos and audio. Let's dive right in!

 

 

Step 1: Find the Record Button

When you're in a Zoom meeting, you can find the record button at the bottom centre of the panel. If you can't see it, check if the panel is minimised. By widening the panel, the record button will become visible.

If it's still not there, don't worry! Click on the "More" option, and you'll find “Record on this computer” among the additional options.

Step 2: Choose Recording Option

Once you click on the record button, you'll see a prompt asking whether you want to record on your computer or record to the cloud (you'll only see the cloud option if you're on a paid plan with Zoom).

Step 3: Start Recording

After selecting your recording option, you'll notice a notification at the top of the screen indicating that the recording has started. You can pause or stop the recording at any time.

Once your meeting concludes, the recording will automatically begin converting.

Step 4: Accessing Saved Recordings

If you're wondering where your saved recordings are located, simply go back to the Zoom settings. From there, click on the "Recordings" option. You'll find the "Store my recordings at" section, where you can see the current destination for your recordings. If you want to change the location, click on the "Choose a new location" button and enter the desired destination.

If you have the option of cloud recording, it can be a game-changer. Cloud recordings are particularly useful when sharing content with coaching clients or group participants. You can easily send them the link to the recording, providing a better viewing experience.
